POSITION SUMMARY
Set up the components for cooking by separating, dicing, and preserving the food products. Peel and wash fresh fruits and vegetables. Calculate, measure, and mix up the ingredients. Follow the recipe, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and cooking checklists when preparing and cooking food. Prepare meals that should be served chilled. Have the competence to operate kitchen appliances like ovens, stovetops, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Use precise measurements to determine if food is properly cooked. While cooking, constantly observe the quality of the food. Set up and take apart workstations. Serve food according to the necessary portion sizes in appropriate containers. Keep the kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment sterilized and clean. Verify that the temperature of the appliances and food is correct.
Build and nurture friendly relationships with colleagues and foster teamwork. Address the issues or grievances raised by workers through active listening and effective problem-solving. Maintain quality standards and expectations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
Fulfillment of educational requirements requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. credential.
Prior experience of at least 12 months in a related role is mandatory.
Lack of Team Management Experience: No experience in managing or directing a team.
This occupation generally doesn't require any formal licensure or certification, although different employers may have varying preferences
