POSITION SUMMARY
Prepare the cooking items by portioning, chopping, and keeping food items fresh and safe. Thoroughly wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Estimate, measure, and blend all ingredients. Cook food accordingly to satisfy recipe, quality, and presentation standards, as well as food preparation checklists. Ensure that all chilled food items are properly prepared. Be proficient at using kitchen equipment such as ovens, stovetops, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Determine if food is ready by testing it. While cooking, maintain a high level of food quality. Arrange and clean the workstation. Provide the correct servings in the proper containers. Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment and utensils used. Monitor the appliance and food temperature to ensure accuracy.
Maintain personal hygiene and a tidy appearance in uniform. Keep company assets safe and confidential, adhering to policies on property, information, and security. Use clear and professional communication.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
A high school diploma or equivalent G.E.D. qualification is a basic qualification for entry.
A year of experience working in a similar field is a prerequisite.
Not Suitable for Leadership Roles: Without any experience in supervisory roles, it raises questions about suitability for higher positions.
